BIOGRAPHY
Stratton Mountain School rider Lizzy Beerman made a crater-sized impact on the snowboarding scene with a handful of major podium finishes and big-time results at major competitions, including her first World Cup start. Look for her to continue shredding the U.S. Snowboarding pipeline.
UPDATE
While Beerman had some great finishes during the 2009 season (fourth at the grand prix and making X Games finals to name a few) it was her summer training period and fall competitions that took the cake. The newly graduated Stratton Mountain rider was hitting 900s like no one's business as the rookie squad camped and then competed at the New Zealand Open. Not only did she finish sixth in the competition, Beerman was also honored with the best trick of the day award. "She really found out how competitive she can be and it was a great look forward for her," Coach Bud Keene said.
FIRST TRACKS
Lizzy made the move to Stratton from the Buffalo, NY, snow belt in the first grade and picked up a shred sled almost immediately. Sources say her first board was a K2 110. By 16, she had topped multiple national competitions, including two Chevrolet Revolution Tour wins in '07 and earned a spot on U.S. Snowboarding's 2008 Rookie Team.

Best day ever- "My favorite time snowboarding would have to be at Stratton. It was the day after a huge snowstorm and it was a Tuesday, so not many people were on the mountain. It was three of my friends and my coach, and we decided to go free riding in the woods. We ended up getting really stuck and had to hike out, but the whole time we were just laughing, throwing snowballs, and having a really good time even though we were hiking out for like 45 minutes".
