BIOGRAPHY
A gymnast at the age of eight, Marren began to develop the fundamental skills it takes to fly in the halfpipe. Now a student at Stanford, Marren balances her academics with her riding as she makes time for homework while shredding pipes around the world for a living.

UPDATE
Despite the intensity of her education, Marren found the time to kill it at some major snowboarding events in 2009. The World Championship team member locked in her skills at the Boreal stop of the Grand Prix where she finished sixth. She then moved on to World Junior Championships where she finished just off the podium in fourth. Then she closed things out in Killington where she repeated her Grand Prix performance and finished sixth again.

FIRST TRACKS
Originally flipping as a gymnast, Marren's parents thought her winter sport should be skiing. But young Kelly had other ideas and presented her parents with a Power Point on why they should allow her to strap into the bindings of a snowboard instead. Marren's persuasiveness paid off and the rest is history.
